Keywords can include addresses, street intersections, places, points of interest, and longitude and latitude coordinates. To navigate to a place or address, under Use location search, type keywords in the search box.To create an extent based on the region specified for the organization, click Organization's region.To create an extent based on the default extent specified for the organization, click Organization's extent.To set a different extent, click Choose extent in the Default extent section. To set the default extent to the extent of your currently selected default basemap, click Use map extent as default. The default basemap opens at the default extent you set. Scene Viewer only uses the specified default basemap if it is supported. If you chose Esri Default as the basemap gallery, the default Esri basemap will be displayed for new maps and scenes. If you chose a custom basemap group for the Basemap gallery setting, choose a basemap from that group that you want opened when users create a map with Map Viewer or Map Viewer Classic, or a scene with Scene Viewer. You can also use the filters to narrow the basemap list or click the name of the basemap owner to access more information. Use the options in the Action drop-down menus to remove or add basemaps and click Save updates. To check for new basemaps or remove deprecated maps from your organization's custom basemap gallery, click Update basemaps. ![]() If you change the sort field or order here, the items on the group page, as well as in embedded galleries or gallery apps, are also changed. To change how the basemaps are ordered, choose Ascending or Descending. You can also change how the basemaps are sorted in the gallery by selecting a field in the Sort order menu. If you specified a custom basemap gallery group, you can click Share basemaps to share the Esri default basemaps with the group. Specify a custom basemap gallery group in your organization to include basemaps shared with it.Choose Esri Default to use only Esri default vector basemaps.The Scene Viewer basemap gallery only displays basemaps that are supported in Scene Viewer.
