Charles’ previous efforts have also pulled from the sounds of the ’60s and ’70s, but while they drew more from the agitated sensibilities of garage and surf rock, her second full length Magic Mirror puts an outlaw spin on nocturnal disco, sounding something like the Band hooking up with ABBA for a late night session.
